Google Hangout set on eve of World Stroke Day

World Stroke Day October 29, 2013The American Stroke Association and AARP are hosting a Google Hangout aimed at stroke caregivers on Monday, the day before World Stroke Day. The Hangout will start at 12:30 ET and will feature a panel of caregiving experts, moderated by author and American Stroke Association Advisory Committee Chairman, Hank Wasiak:

  • Dr. Barry Jacobs, Psy.D., a clinical psychologist and family therapist, and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association national spokesperson, who will speak to the emotional side of being a caregiver.
  • Dr. Demetrius Lopes, M.D., Surgical Director, RUSH University Stroke Center and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association national spokesperson, a neurosurgeon who will explain a stroke, talk about why knowing the warning signs are important, and answer health questions.
