Antman discusses trials on bariatric surgery and diabetes; aspirin and non-cardiac surgery

American Heart Association President-elect Elliott Antman, M.D., professor of medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, discusses two trials presented during the American College of Cardiology Scientific 2014.

The first trial, named Stampede, is about bariatric surgery and diabetes. The second, named Poise-2, considers the use of aspirin or clonidine in patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery.
